Did you ever notice sound a like songs?
The classic "In the Hall of the Mountain King" (Peer Gynt) sounds a lot like the theme from "Inspector Gadget" (different tempo).
"Twinkle Twinkle Little Star," "The Alphabet Song," and "Baa Baa Black Sheep" have the same tune.
Robbie Dupree's "Steal Away" resembled the Doobie Brothers' "What a Fool Believes."http://www.answerbag.com/q_view/87350

My Sweet Lord
by George Harrison Poor George lost the plagiarism suit brought against him by the owners of the copyright to He's So Fine. It was one of the longest running copyright litigations in history, and the term "subconscious plagiarism" was coined to describe Harrison's unwitting legal breach. I never thought of these songs as similar until hearing about this case and listening to them back to back. They are basically the same song with different lyrics.
